Job: Marine Broker Ops Technician

Salary: c£40,000

Location: Hybrid home/ London



Our client, a leading Lloyd's Broker, is looking for a Broker Technician to join their busy and growing team. This will be a work from home role with occasional days in the city office. 3 maximum per month

Purpose of the Role:

Working with Marine business. Providing a first class service to clients and markets on all post placement activities including processing of premium and associated transactions, issuance of formal documentation, query resolution and adhering to company policies and procedures

Main Duties:

* Dealing with Technical documentation
* Ensuring high professional standards and continual improvements in service delivery
* Ensuring that the Company's systems, compliance and procedures are followed at all times, in accordance with the company's compliance and procedure manuals
* Checking formal documents (including, but not limited to, BIDs, Certificates, Endorsements, MRCs, Policies etc.) for accuracy prior to processing and issuance of formal documentation to clients and markets
* Submitting Policy documentation to signing offices where applicable (both bureaux and non-bureaux)
* processing of transactional via Internal processing system
* Producing debit/credit notes and bureau submissions where required
* Handling and resolving client and queries in respect of both Policy and Premium issues
* Ensuring that diary checks (manual and electronic) are maintained
* Maintaining statistical information as required
* Maintaining electronic filing system is up to date at all times
* Assisting with the team with Ad-hoc duties or covering colleagues where required
* Meeting and adhering to agreed service levels and SLA's

Key Skills/ Requirements:

* Previous experience within a technical insurance role
* Knowledge of Marine risks
* Study towards Cert CII - preferred
* Knowledge of A&S systems
* Strong IT skills
* High understanding of all London Market procedures
* Ability to complete tasks, including the checking of documentation and data with the highest standard of accuracy
* Knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles
* Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of general insurance in operation at any time
